Vineman 70.3 swim waves

I’m a huge fan of the Vineman 70.3 race, but do they really need 8min in between swim waves?!  That forces peeps like me to wait two hours for my wave 16 to go off.  Two years ago the temps climbed up into the mid 90’s on that run and that two hour delayed start became a huge deal at that point!  At Oceanside 70.3 this past March, they had 3min gaps between waves.  This worked really well and even though I was in the 22nd wave, I still went out just about an hour after the pro’s.
